Nominator's project description
| Professor Damascelli is an internationally renowned expert on the electronic properties of complex materials. His photoelectron spectroscopy experiments have contributed prominently to the experimental description of transition metal oxides, which exhibit intriguing phenomena such as quantum magnetism and unconventional superconductivity. During his stay in Germany, he will collaborate with physicists using complementary experimental methods in order to deepen our understanding of the microscopic mechanisms underlying these phenomena. |
